Beware of XE ..... be Wise and avoid XE like dog excrement .... be Wise you'll get a much better rate elsewhere. I joined XE and my first transfer went smoothly, however they failed to process my second £20,000 transfer, so four days after the transfer, I contacted the helpline and had the misfortune of dealing with an apparently inept staff member who was unable to access the relevant information. After he wasted my time for a few minutes I asked him to email me regarding the issue he was having. A few hours went by and I received no email from them, so I emailed the help desk and I also used live chat to requested an immediate full refund of my £20,000 to the original GBP account I made the initial transfer from, as it had become apparent they could not be trusted to handle my money in a prompt, professional and trustworthy manner. Jordan on live chat refused to provide his full name but said the transfer had been actioned. However, when I checked my account there was no refund. I applied pressure throughout the day including a threat to report them to the governing body, but this had no effect. Sadly, its taken 14 emails, 4 Live Chats, 1 Telephone Call, 1 Complaints to their bank, 1 Complaint to the financial ombudsman, and multiple threats of High Court Action in order to receive a refund and this has used up approx. 16 hours of my valuable time dealing with several individuals especially Reena Johal who stooped so low as to ask me 'where my nearest hospital is' in an email it sent, maybe more suited to a shoplifting roll than handling other people's money. Finally XE refused to compensate me for wasted time. Due to my experiences with them I would consider them an absolute disgrace to the money transfer markets and not a company I would trust with even the smallest amount of money .... be Wise and avoid XE like a pool of vomit .... be Wise you'll get better rate elsewhere.

They claim money is available within few days but indulge in malpractices and HoARD the money to their accounts before transferring to the receipient

bad bad bad run for your life! I used to send money with XE, no big amounts and everything went smooth. By the time I decided to send a big amount for my housing project, There was suddenly a technical issue. Probably because the rate was not that favorable for them so they just decided to keep the money and wait until the curreny goes up and refund me by stating a "technical issue" When you call, they never have an answer, they always have to reach out to an other departement, by writing. When you ask about time when this or that will be done? No one knows. They'll just say: the other departement / business partener (which is RIA btw) did not give us any processing time. never ever business with them

I have had reasonably good service with Xe in the past so thought I would utilize their newer pick-up service. I created a transaction to be picked up in Mexico and received an email that it was available for pick-up. Upon arrival at the location, I was told it was not there. The next day I see a note online that now says the transaction was canceled by myself(?). Attempted to understand why but was unable to get an answer. Will now have to wait an additional 5 days for the return of the money.

They quote you 24 hour service and once your money is in their account they email you asking for the same information you put in the transfer form you fill, just so they can keep onto your money for as long as possible. It seems they do that in batches to every customer. They try to mine as much info as they can with their dirty tricks. I am still waiting for my money to be either refunded or transferred. It was well below £500. Not an alarming amount. You don’t need that much info to transfer to someone’s bank. All you need is the name and IBAN. If my review gets removed I will start the process of referring Trustpilot and Xe to the regulatory bodies. It looks like Xe tries to remove all the negative reviews and keeps the positive ones. A lot of these positive reviews are fake. They emailed me calling me by a lady name! Clearly they forgot to change the name in their batch email they send which wreaks misery to their customers.

Submitted a transfer and xe.com was very prompt in taking the money. Everyday they would detach the recipient details and then email me asking to confirm recipient again. I sent recipient id confirming the information i was submitting. 9 days later they email me asking for 2 years employment history for the recipient and address despite me providing the address everytime they asked to confirm recipient details by email. I then get told that the money i sent would be sold back in the market and i would occur the losses. Clearly this is a scam. They lure you in with rates which they cannot fulfill and then use delaying tactics so then can wait for the Market to move in their favour. I will certainly not be using them again and i would seek other more reliable transfer services.

0-2 HOURS OR 11+ DAYS?? The ad promotion declares that within 0-2 hours the transfer will be completed, I have made several transfers completed so far but all took between 5-11days to receive the funds in India.The best alternative is Wise money transfer it is 0-2 minutes only.

I’ve used XE numerous times and never had a problem, but this time, it was going to take too long to send from bank to bank, so I opted for credit card to bank. I got the form email confirming the transaction, then crickets. I was unable to log in (“account closed”) I called the following day and was told my account was closed while my transaction was being reviewed. And I was assured I would hear something within 48 hours. Now I’m wondering, should I cancel it and go to (competitor) or wait? After all, I sent it with a credit card to get it there faster. The next day I called again was told the same thing. I understand and appreciate the diligence in protecting me as the sender, but the recipient and I have known each other for seven years, I’ve been with him in person over 100 times and I know his family personally. If given the chance, I could have reassured XE of the legitimacy. Now it has been four business days and I have still not heard anything and my account is still closed. I tried to call several times after the 48 hours and was on hold for 10 minutes before I hung up. So that was four days wasted and getting the money to the recipient. I emailed and no one bothered to respond.

They have cancelled my transaction and are not giving me back my money. This is very serious. Avoid this experience. Do not use XE Money Transfer

They closed my account without any reason, The chat feature is very unhelpful, The rate advertised looks great but BEWARE. There is no guarantee why they will close the account, all the details that I provided them including the voided check image, NO SAFETY, Please use a differnt ID

had the worst experience with xe.com. They deducted money from my account and while I was waiting for the transfer, after 2 days they asked for highly sensitive information as well as asked me to take a selfie. (Their system never works to take a selfie). Then they would send another email after 2 days saying that I need to upload again otherwise my transaction will be cancelled and I will have to bear loss. PATHETIC I WILL GIVE NEGATIVE RATING.

I have sent money via XE money couple of times and have never faced any issues. There are delays for 1-2 days but nothing more than it. As long as I am getting good exchange rates, I am ok with 1 day delay :)

I had started a transfer of a huge amount (within the limits) in USD to be sent to INR. They asked me to upload the ID and other highly sensitive personal information. After uploading, they have closed my account without giving any reason and told me to never contact them again. It's utterly humiliating and frustrating. Now, I am afraid that they may deduct money from my account (exactly same scenario has happened with others) and I will have nowhere to go because my account is closed. Please stay away from XE money transfer. They are a really dangerous company who play with your personal information like SSN and never reply to your email with helpful information. I hope this company goes out of business and saves the trouble for thousands of people like me.

I did transfer (USD to Indian R) on March 09, my bank account was debited on March 10, I get confirmation to recieve my transfer amount on March 14. I did contact them on 14, they said " wait for 24 hour to be reflect in your bank account in India". Again I did contact after 2 days later they said " we are contacting our partner in India and it will take another 24 hours"

XE is holding a $1k transfer because they say I owe money! Already paid them in full for this transfer. Backstory is: in May 2021, I made a transfer and they charged me TWICE for it. Okay, mistakes happen (but you hope not with a financial institution). Problem is they never contacted me about it! I discovered and then began "chasing" them for 4 months to refund the overcharged amount. They dodged me for four months until I told them I had involved my bank to dispute, then they finally refunded. Apparently around the same time, the bank charged it back. So two weeks ago, (silly me) I made another transfer with them. They took the amount, signed a contract to transfer, and are refusing to send it to the recipient because they say I owe them money. First time they've said a word about it. I've been on the phone for 3 days... no resolution. Filing complaints with regulatory agencies... DON'T DO IT. There are others out there offering the service.

The money transfer service is not working. It is impossible to get support from Xe.com (request 210401). You risk losing your money. I have never experienced such poor support. The line between incompetence and fraud is quite thin. Get away from this company as soon as possible. More than 15 days after several emails no nice of my money back. A complaint was filed for fraud

Now rebranded to XE Money. Same staff, same pre-historic systems. Not only do they not fix their many bugs, but their site develops new bugs. I used them to pay my staff abroad. I had the displeasure of being served by Ed, who took full advantage to hike rates at every opportunity, until I had to leave. This was Ed's way of telling me to move my business to their competition. I'm now with Currency Fair and Wise, so Ed did me a big favour. Both companies are the opposite to XE: good customer services from Aussies and other international staff, and modern sites with few bugs. Often I had to endure customer service responses from Asian staff who repeatedly made the same mistakes.

I had an medical emergency to transfer the fund. They don't even care about it. I usually don't write reviews for anyone. but, because of this lame services I am writing this. My fund is already reached to them on same day as I paid using debit card. They don't care about customers. I have used other services which are must faster reliable. I used XE because I was out of my limit on other provider. So much bad services by XE. I wish, I can give 0 star. XE claims that they will send money in 0-2 hours, but, this is fake claim. I have sent money using XE using my debit card. it been more then 24 hours still the money didn't reach. moreover they charging customers for debit card and they reduces the exchange rates. Even though you send money using debit card they take forever to send money. Their customer services sucks. They know only one answer, "We have notified the respective team.". customer care don't have answer other than this.

Yup. All the other reviews are right. XE's rate is nothing compared to what CompareRemit mentions - at least 60p lesser. I created an account only to see if XE's rate mentioned here was right; unfortunately not.

Got an email that they cannot complete the service, deducted my money from account and asked to contact bank to get money back. I am guessing they are earning interest with such scruplous measure. I want to report them to SEC or some financial agency.

One of the worst services. First the compare remit exchange rate is not what they offer. Second, they deducted money from my account and later sent an email saying "Contact your bank and request their assistance in recalling the funds."

Cheaters! Doesn't provide the rate they advertise here, and it is very low. They tell you the rate after you have created an account by providing all your info including the SSN. Owned by the same company who owns Ria Financial Services so I believe in their security as I had been using RIA for a long time until they started charging for transfers.

I used it today after seeing this in compareremit. It is not 0-2 hours. it says transfer will complete it 5 days. so be aware. Giving 2 start because of great $ rate.

After seeing the advertisement of money transfer in 2 hrs, i just wanted to try it. Though i placed the transfer request on Aug/21, it shows as the money will be debited from the account on Aug/26, and it will be available for the recipient by Sep/1. So in my experience it is taking almost 10 days for a transfer from USA to India. Not sure if they are using a different time scale, where 2hrs equivalent to our 10 days :)

I used Xe Money Transfer to make a GBP/INR transfer. It was the most efficient and seamless transfer I have made. The payment reached my sisters account within 10 minutes of Xe making the transfer. I have used other transfer companies before and none have been as quick and as efficient as Xe. Besides the speed of the transfer, the rates were far more competitive than other transfer companies. I will definitiely be recommending Xe to family and friends.

My 7 year old niece who lives in India is turning 8 soon and my husband and I decided to send her money so she can buy a bike she desperately wants for her birthday with all the safety gear. I wanted to use the XeMoney Transfer GBP to INR service as I know we have been working so hard to get this up and running. I was super-duper impressed with the s pee d, efficiency and ease and the money was transferred in minutes which is far quicker than other competitors I have used in the past. This is something that I will definitely be recommending to my family and friends.
