Remitly

I had the most horrific experience using remitly for the first to transfer an amount of 25K from canada to US. I normally do a transfer from bank to bank but since remitly was giving a slightly better rate than the bank, I used remitly. The transfer was done on May 4th and on May 8th it showed amount deposited successfully, even though the receiver received nothing. Since I was out of the country, I started chatting with remitly's customer service agents. unfortunately, 8 out of the 10 agents i chatted with had no idea about how to go about doing their job. A bunch of untrained employees who won't read my texts, kept transferring me from one dept to another and just go about chattering saying that the amount has been deposited in the receiver's account, even though I kept telling them that the amount has not been credited. I even made long distance roaming calls to talk to their agents but to no avail. An absolute horrible service from Remitly. Finally after 12 days or so, remitly got back to me thro email telling me that the transfer has not been successful. I asked them to cancel and refund my money immediately. 12 sleepless nights for me. I am sure they utilized my money somewhere else and earned a quick interest in it. Big lesson I learnt from this is that, its not advisable to deal with a company like remitly mainly because of the fact that they have no physical assets or any kind office anywhere. it's practically impossible to recover money from them in such cases solely because of the fact that they don't have any physical presence anywhere. it's better to go through a bank in such cases . Atleast, I can go to the bank and have a talk with the employees face to face and get the problem solved, if any. No more Remitly for me. Good riddance .

Worst service. They don’t have any skilled persons. I been a loyal Customer since 2017, i made a transfer since friday morning their website encountered a problem i understand but its been 4 days now i been patiently waiting, i call and call and call, but then nobody know's what to do so i request for a supervisor waited for the supervisor to help me Nobody returns my phone calls nobody pay attention, nobody follow up with me, NOBODY!!!i feel under value.. Don’t approach them for any kind of Service, The Worst Service. If there is an award for Worst management is to be given I’ll suggest this company’s name. These Remitly don’t deserve Ratings also.
