And that rate is not shown anywhere on the website nor the fact that you would get a lower rate is mentioned on the website. You will only know when you go through the hassle of registering/kyc and initiating a transfer. And the faqs on the website says this platform is designed to send money to different individuals and not to themselves. They have a long way to get their act right. Until then I would consider it bait and switch.

They deducted USD from my bank account on the same day, I initiated the transaction however, my father did not receive the INR amount in his bank account yet. Their support is pathetic. They are declining my call. No proper resolution over whatsapp or email too. Please use other trusted partner to safeguard your hard earned money and refrain from using Unplex for remittance service.

Initially I had some reservations in using Unplex for money transfer to India considering that they are unheard of and interacting through WhatsApp is not something I have ever done in the past. It feels like you are talking to a person in a counter and transfering money. I just hope they take their security very seriously and there is no breach ever. Will use again. I have one serious feedback: Please send one email after each transfer is created and completed with all necessary details. Emails are permanent way of keeping track of financial transactions than whatasapp.

Transfer time could have been reduced if transaction was initiated during IST banking hours. I recommend Unplex for high transfer and very quick service.

Then I checked out various sites to confirm if it's legit as the way of operation is quite unorthodox. I even saw youtube reviews and finally decided to give it a shot for smaller amount to test. First I tried to send to my NRO account (joint with my wife who is primary holder). It picked up my WhatsApp name which is a different variation than what's on bank account. Not sure if that's the reasons being secondary holder is the reason but I it kept erring out for that account.
